Cahuita Beach

Less than an hour from Limon Costa Rica, Cahuita boasts a beautiful white sand beach, miles of coconut trees, tranquil clear waters and coral reefs. These are just a few of the great things you can find at Cahuita Beach.

Cahuita beach is part of the Cahuita National Park. The beach has kept its pristine condition, therefore activities such as scuba and snorkeling near the coral reef are a great experience. Coral and fish species are found in the waters near the reefs. Lobster, white shrimp, crabs, green turtle and various crustaceans are part of the variety. The first three hundred meters of the beach are very rough and swimming is not recommended. Just past the rough surf area is a much calmer area that is almost like a salt water swimming pool. Cahuita beach is definitely one of the best on the Carribean coast.
