An exotic combination of rain forest, white sand beaches and coral reefs, Manuel Antonio Beach in Costa Rica is known as one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. It's long white-sand beach married to emerald green waters is ideal for swimming, snokeling and exploring. There are actually three beaches in Manuel Antonio, Espadilla Sur (mainly for surfers), Manuel Antonio (for swimmers and snorkelers) and Puerto Escondido, rough and rocky. If you take the Punta Ctedral trail you will see spectacular views of the beaches and 12 small islands that belong to the park.

- How to get there ?
- Manuel Antonio is 3 1/2 hours from San Jose. Take Highway #1 from San Jose heading north until the exit to Atenas. From here a very nice and curve drive will be part of the fun. Pass Atenas and Orotina. Next you will be driving along the beautiful warm waters of the Pacific coast going through Jaco, Parrita and Quepos. From there follow the road signs to Manuel Antonio, you are only 7 km from enjoying this unique experience. As you drive up to the park you will see several places to stay.
- When to go?
- The park is open Tuesday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admision fee is US $7. Most of the time the whether is pretty good, even during rainy season: May-November, mornings are sunny and hot.
