The National Theater of Costa Rica was born in May of 1890 when the Constitutional Congress of the Republic emits the Decree XXXIII in whose article first Declare Property of the Republic. The mechanisms to finance this construction was: internal and external subvention of the State, but maily a tax to the coffee export.
