Potrero Beach

This 1 ˝ mile long beach, part of Costa Rica’s gold coast has become part of the large construction project in the north Pacific. Fancy beach homes, condos and hotels offer the visitor nice accommodations for a pleasant stay.
The beach is good for swimming, snorkeling, sport fishing, scuba diving and a lot of other inland attractions from the area.

- How to get there ?
- Potrero is the next beach north of Flamingo beach. You can get to Flamingo in different ways. From Liberia take road #21 west to FIladelfia, Belén, Huacas and Flamingo. Unfortunately from Belén to Huacas the road is in pretty bad condition. You can also travel from Santa Cruz if you come from Nicoya. Follow the signs to Flamingo and Potrero, the road is in much better condition. Flights are also available from San Jose and Liberia.
- When to go?
- Weather in this area is sunny and hot most of the time year round. However, the best time to visit is in the dry season: December to April.
