Punta Uva Beach

Punta Uva is a rocky promontory with a cove that forms a nice clear water swimming pool on the north side. Towards the south, white sand along with beautiful turquoise waters make a perfect mix for swimming and snorkeling . No coral reef in this area.

Around the area there are a few good places to stay and lots of restaurants with international and tasty Caribbean food.

How to get there ?
To arrive at Punta Uva Beach, drive 2 miles south from Puerto Viejo. There are several access roads to the beach and an internal road that takes all the way to the end of the beach. You can park at the beach.
When to go?
The best times to visit this area are the months of March-April and September-October. Although you can go any time, hurricanes in the Caribbean may affect the whether pretty bad and cause flooding.
