Recently Santa Teresa, a group of sandy beaches, has been gaining popularity among surfers from many places. With a beach break in both directions, right and left, a broad beach and spectacular sunsets, especially the young surf community is frequenting this beach.

- How to get there ?
- Take the Panquera ferryboat in Puntarenas. There are several schedules every 4 hours starting at 6:30 a.m., until 10:30 p.m. From Paquera drive following the road signs to Tambor, Cóbano, MalPais, Santa Teresa.
There are daily flights available from San Jose to Tambor. - When to go?
- The weather is sunny and hot most of the time year round. However, the best time to visit is in the dry season: December to April.
