These are official airport taxis and their rates are fixed from the Juan Santamaria International Airport to your hotel or other destination. You purchase a taxi voucher just as you exit customs and before you walk out of the arrival area to the street. If you are new to Costa Rica we highly recommend you use one of these taxis if you do not have hotel pickup arranged. They are clean, well maintained and most of the drivers are bilingual. The price is a little higher than other taxi services but you can be sure you will get to your destination safely and with a minimum of hassles.
