Caribbean Beaches

The Caribbean side of Costa Rica is known for being more laid back and tranquil and it has a huge variety of beaches from lagoons and marshes in the north to long sandy surfing beaches in the south. In the north of Limon Province you will find Tortuguero, a remote and beautiful destination famous for sea turtles and tarpon fishing. In the south you will find the beaches of Cahuita and Puerto Viejo, bordered by the towering Talamanca mountain range in the south where the indigenous Bri Bri tribe live.
